Meet Master Lies

We would like to introduce you to Lies, an energetic force within Masters In Lean. Who is Lies exactly? What gives her energy, and what drives her in her work and beyond? In this story, you will get to know her better!

Lies is a true go-getter. As a project leader and consultant at Enexis, she works daily on improving processes and creating insight into performance. She describes herself as goal-oriented, entrepreneurial, and connecting. She is someone who does not wait, but takes initiative and brings people together to move things forward.

You can see that energy not only in her work, but also in her personality. Lies enjoys challenges and is not afraid to take risks. Especially in situations where something new is created or change is needed, she truly comes into her own.

Lies first came into contact with Lean during her Business Administration studies at HAN University of Applied Sciences. What started as a course about quality quickly grew into a real passion. She followed a Lean minor and obtained her Green Belt, where the combination of structure and creativity particularly appealed to her.

For Lies, Lean mainly means that you are never finished. Continuous improvement is not a goal in itself for her, but a way of working and thinking. She believes in out-of-the-box solutions, daring to take risks, and creating space to truly improve processes.

One moment Lies looks back on with pride is her work at BAM Wood Concepts. There she delivered 5S trainings and acted as a bridge between theory and practice. That connecting role, bringing people along, explaining, and improving together gives her energy.

For Lies, success is not only about results, but especially about the impact you make on people and how they are then able to continue building improvement themselves.

Lies also does not sit still outside of work. She is entrepreneurial and runs her own business in the hair industry, where she can fully express her creativity. In fact, her creativity also shows at work, as Lies regularly shows up with a different hairstyle. No two days are the same!

In addition, she has a great love for travel. She has already seen much of Europe, with Italy as her favorite, but her biggest dream is a trip to Colombia, her country of birth. The language, culture, and nature attract her greatly, and the fact that she speaks Spanish makes this wish even more personal.

Besides her entrepreneurial side, Lies is also musical: she has a background in the music industry.

Lies aims to further develop herself into an experienced Lean professional, someone clients continue to come back to because of her approach and energy. In the long term, she dreams of a director-level position, in which she can make impact on a larger scale.

On a personal level, her biggest goal remains to explore the world and enjoy everything it has to offer. With her drive, courage, and enthusiasm, the chances are high that she will turn those dreams into reality!
